Ed Marsh is proud to be born and bred in New Jersey, US. He often wonders why people make fun of his state.

Ed has worked in technical communication since 1994, creating printed manuals, online help, PDF documentation, cheatsheets, and technical illustrations. He is experienced in content management, and can edit raw HTML, XML, and CSS. He has designed books, logos, t-shirts, flyers, menus, and playbills. He currently works as a technical writer in New York City’s Financial District. His favorite punctuation are the semicolon and ellipsis. While he is technical, he is not a programmer, though he keeps trying.

Ed formerly was percussion instructor, then the director of the Secaucus High School Marching Band and co-founder of the Cacophony Percussion Ensemble. He was named one of “50 Directors Who Make a Difference” by School Band and Orchestra magazine.

He is a hiker, homebrewer, beer snob, foodie, and Champ Car Fanatic.
